Low Poly Corridor Level Kit
A downloadable level kit
This is my contribiution to the TGD & Friends KitJam 2021.
You can find my git repository here: https://github.com/dueddel/TGD-Friends-KitJam-2021
My goal was to create a level kit for building futuristic or sci-fi corridors being used for underground stations on other planets/asteroids/the Moon or to build space ships.
Due to the lack of time I unfortunately couldn't add everything from my personal todo list to the level kit as I wished. Therefore the walls are still a bit empty. But that's how it works in jams, I guess. ;-)
I could imagine to model some cover plates for service access to the walls, also lockers and displays with control panels. Doors or gates as well as a staircase or an elevator are missing as well. Not to speak about interior like chairs, desks, machines, medical equipment, … you name it, everything you can find on the Enterprise or maybe even on the Millenium Falcon.
I even thought of adding some kind of ominous crystals for decorating the walls and ceilings with to indicate an infection of the level by an alien species or whatever. Another idea was to add a bunch of tiles that transition the corridor scene to a cave system.
I had quite a lot in mind, but I couldn't make it. In the end, though, I am not unhappy with the results.
I can't promise to ever continue working on this level kit. At least I had fun creating it. Thanks to the people behind the TGD & Friends KitJam! I enjoyed joining the jam and also chatting with you guys!
Feel free to use my level kit for anything you like. Would be nice to be credited, but it definitively isn't a must-have.
* Please note that this package contains a copy of the Sky Pirate Studios Palette which has some really vibrant and nice colors for low poly 3D modeling (and to have it clearly said: it's not mine, it's made by Sky Pirate Studios).

When using this level kit be informed about the tiles' dimensions.
The optimal grid size for adding tiles to each cell is:5m × 5m × 4m
(width × depth × height
).
Please consider having a look at the project's README file for how to import and use the level kit into you favorite game engine.

Thank You For Hard Work!
That looks like Great boost for gamedev creativity and upgrade in visual game quality.
Appreciate You shared this kit with Us.
Have a Good Time!
My pleasure, you’re welcome. 😘
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much.
Glad you like it. :)
Hi, thanks for the free asset pack. It looks good. What license is this released under? CC0 if you want public domain, or MIT, GPL, and LGPL are all good licenses too. Thanks!
Thanks for the nice words and you’re welcome. 😘
Oh, you’re right. I never added a license file. Maybe because back then I wasn’t sure about how to deal with the 3rd party assets that are bundled with the level kit. I think I didn’t know how to exclude them from the license.
I’d say, consider everything of the bundle being licensed under CC0 out of the two PNG files because they aren’t mine. Though I think the Imphenzia palette is also CC0 he once said in his YT videos. Not sure about the “Sky Pirate Studios Palette” which is especially required by the exported FBX and GLB files (the Imphenzia color palette is only used in the blend file).
Regardless of the PNG files I can tell you, do whatever you like with the level kit. Redistribute it, sell it, adjust it to your needs (in other words: edit it), print it on paper and then burn it, whatever comes to your mind. This is absolutely fine for me. 😊
To have that said: Although of course I’d be happy about it, you don’t have to credit me. I am happy to have done something good that people enjoy and can freely use. In fact I had a lot fun creating it during the time of the jam. That’s all I wanted to “get back” from creating the level kit: Some practice, experience and fun.
Hope that helps. Have a good one! 👍
